We were grateful to have a visit from Sight for Surrey and Jason Bastable, one of its ambassadors and a Former World Champion Blind Golfer. Why do we collaborate with Sight for Surrey?

Sight for Surrey is a charity close to PP. One of our team members is registered as blind, and we have partnered with the charity to understand their condition. We had a lovely visit from some of their team and their world champion golfer, where they hosted a putting session in our office to show us what Jason experiences in his day-to-day life. It was an insight into what blindness and other eye conditions can feel like for people like Jason and our colleague.

Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is an inclusive organisation dedicated to enabling and empowering people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind. They champion independence, where people thrive in their communities and achieve their aspirations. They offer expert support, services, and advice across Surrey, delivering our services in homes, communities, and main office hub.

At the heart of their mission lies a deep commitment to equality. They advocate for accessibility and inclusion to ensure that people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind can lead full and independent lives.

This is a cause that we will continue to support and join them for future events, such as their golf day, where we will be putting alongside Jason Bastable.
