Principal People are thrilled to be exclusively partnering with a well-established construction business in their search for a Health and Safety Advisor.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in reinforcing a proactive SHE culture while developing policies and procedures to support the company’s continued success.
As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will:
- Develop and implement SHE policies and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance.
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide expert advice and training to site teams, managers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor high-risk activities, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, recommending preventative measures.
- Liaise with the HSE, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Support with ISO audits to maintain business accreditations.
- Lead initiatives that promote a positive safety culture across the business.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar SHE role, ideally within construction.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.
- Salary up to £55,000
- £5,000 Car Allowance + Mileage
