Principal People are supporting an international company who are looking for a member to join the growing safety department.
The role will be a very operational safety position and will involve the safety management for a facility in Glasgow, where you will have the opportunity to develop a positive safety culture. The position will be working closely reporting into the Head of Compliance, who is very supportive and experienced within HSQE.
The business is incredibly supportive towards Health and Safety, and you will be leading the health and safety across the site, there is a large amount of variation throughout the location, working in a unique environment.
The key duties include:
- To carry out operational Health and Safety duties such as risk assessments, incident and accident investigations on the site
- Promote and strengthen the H&S culture across the site
- Provide H&S guidance, solutions and advice to minimise risks.
- Carrying out HSEQ duties across the location
- Prepare risk assessments, COSHH assessments and operational responsibilities.
- Provide H&S training to employees on safety practices
- You will be working in a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, and you will be exposed to different risks

- A NEBOSH General Certificate
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience within an operational Health and Safety role
- Experience working in an operational sector (Manufacturing preferred)
